O really? From scratch? Scratch? Did you bake that bread yourself? No? Did you cure those meats? No? Did you make that cheese? No? So you went to the store, bought two packages of meat, a package of cheese and a loaf of bread and made a sandwich. You did make a sauce though, good job on that. It was totally from scratch. O wait except that you probably didn't make the dijon mustard yourself, did you? So really, there's no part of that sandwich that's from scratch, is there? In my fridge right now I have four jars of dijon mustard made from SCRATCH. My brother made this mustard by buying whole spices online and then crushing, grinding, and powdering them himself. THAT is from scratch. Have you EVER made your own bread? I have, I make it all the time. I have some in my fridge right now, it's good for about another 6 days. For dinner I pull off a hunk, let it warm up and rise, then bake it in my toaster oven for fresh bread.

Have you ever even TRIED to make you own luncheon meats? I have. I've smoked roasts, I've ground up hunks of beef and pork to make my own sausages, hell I even tried to make my own pastrami once (it sucked). I've made my own tomato sauce starting with San Marzano tomatoes hand picked from a farmers market. When I make a soup I use chicken stock I cooked and jarred in my own kitchen. I've made lasagna where I bought rennet and milk to make my own mozzarella and ricotta cheese and then followed it up by making my own noodles and using tomato sauce i made the earlier that day. THAT'S FROM SCRATCH. You putting a meat and cheese sandwich under a hot brick isn't even in the fucking ballpark. Stop thinking you can cook, because currently all I see is you doing something I pay Subway 5 bucks for, with a higher quality end result.
